Learn. Think. Build. Lead. Now with a place to start.
Free and low-cost courses from trusted institutions worldwide, organized into guided pathways for Haitian youth.
Every pathway in FOSH Academy follows the same model as everything else FOSH does: Learn, Think, Build, Lead. FOSH doesn't create most of the courses you'll find here — it curates them, explains them in plain language, and guides you through them in an order that actually builds something.
Every pathway moves through the same four stages.
Learn
Gain knowledge and useful skills.
Think
Analyze problems, evidence, causes, alternatives, and trade-offs.
Build
Turn knowledge into projects, businesses, solutions, and real work.
Lead
Take responsibility, coordinate others, mentor, and improve communities.
Fourteen subject areas, each pulling from trusted providers worldwide.
Every course, clearly explained before you click.
Filter by subject and see exactly what you're signing up for — cost, certificate, language, and more.

Structured routes through the catalog — each one a sequence of levels, not a pile of links.
A pathway is a sequence of levels, not a single course. Move through them in order, using the linked courses at each level — most pathways end with a hands-on FOSH Project that applies what you learned to a real problem at home.

FOSH Academy points learners to public, open courses from institutions including these — and guides them through it.
Being listed here means FOSH Academy links to an institution's public, open courses — it does not mean a formal partnership exists yet. See “Become a FOSH Education Partner” below.
FOSH-written explanations, vocabulary, and study guides to help Kreyòl-speaking learners understand courses taught in English or French.
Most of the world's free courses are taught in English or French. Study in Kreyòl is FOSH's own answer to that gap — not a translation of anyone else's material, but original explanations built for Kreyòl-speaking learners.
Where FOSH is starting
Study in Kreyòl is in its building phase — the first guides are being written now.
Want to help write a guide? Reach out to schools@foshhaiti.org.What Study in Kreyòl will contain
- FOSH-written explanations of key ideas from popular courses, in plain Kreyòl
- Vocabulary lists that connect English and French course terms to Kreyòl
- Study guides that walk through a course's structure before a learner starts it
- Practice exercises written by FOSH to check understanding
What it will never be
FOSH will not machine-translate, copy, or republish a provider's copyrighted course material. Study in Kreyòl is original FOSH content that sits alongside a course — the course itself always stays on the provider's own site, under its own license.
FOSH is looking for universities, open-learning organizations, educators, and technology companies ready to open doors for Haitian youth.
FOSH Academy grows by connecting Haitian youth to institutions willing to open a door. If your organization has courses, mentorship, curriculum, or opportunity to offer, FOSH wants to talk.
FOSH is looking for
- Universities and colleges
- Open-learning organizations and MOOC platforms
- Educators and curriculum specialists
- Technology companies
- Nonprofits working in education or workforce development
Partnership can look like
- Course or content access for FOSH learners
- Certificates or credentials at reduced or no cost
- Mentorship from staff, faculty, or alumni
- Curriculum or instructional design support
- Scholarships, devices, or connectivity support
- Any other opportunity for Haitian youth
FOSH Academy already links to open courses from providers including MIT OpenCourseWare, OpenLearn (The Open University), Khan Academy, and edX. Linking to an institution's public courses is not the same as a formal partnership — this section is the invitation to make it one.
